Position Summary

Davcor Aviation Services is seeking experienced Aircraft Structural Technicians to support commercial aircraft heavy modification programs in Kansas City, MO.

This position is intended for highly skilled aviation professionals with recent heavy structural modification experience who can perform complex structural repairs, installations, and modifications with minimal supervision. Successful candidates will possess extensive heavy maintenance and cabin reconfiguration experience and be capable of maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and workmanship in a fast-paced production environment.


Pay Range

$36.00 - $45.00 per hour DOE

Additional overtime opportunities may be available based on project requirements.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Perform structural repairs, modifications, and installations on commercial aircraft in accordance with approved engineering data and manufacturer specifications.

  • Execute heavy modification projects including cabin reconfigurations and interior monument installations.

  • Remove, install, fit, align, and secure aircraft structural components.

  • Perform precision drilling, reaming, riveting, fastening, and assembly operations.

  • Complete hard point installations and structural modification work requiring close tolerance measurements.

  • Perform cold working, flap peening, and other specialized structural repair procedures.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, structural repair manuals (SRM), aircraft maintenance manuals (AMM), and work instructions.

  • Verify structural conformity through precision measuring and inspection techniques.

  • Accurately document completed work in accordance with company and customer requirements.

  • Maintain production schedules while meeting quality and safety expectations.

  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving structural discrepancies.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

  • Support overtime, shift flexibility, and project-driven schedules as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum QualificationsRequired Experience
  • Minimum two (2) years of heavy commercial or military aircraft structures experience.

  • Recent commercial or military aircraft structural experience required.

  • Heavy modification experience required.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience supporting Airbus modification programs.

  • Heavy maintenance or MRO experience.

  • Experience supporting large-scale aircraft modification projects.

  • Experience mentoring or assisting junior technicians.

  • Multi-aircraft platform experience.

  • A&P License preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and technical specifications.

  • Strong understanding of aircraft structures repair methods and installation techniques.

  • Proficiency with structural hand tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining productivity and quality standards.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to adapt to changing production requirements and schedules.


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This position is performed in an active aircraft maintenance and modification environment.

Employees must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and climb for extended periods.

  • Work from ladders, maintenance stands, lifts, and elevated platforms.

  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Work in aircraft hangars, maintenance facilities, and confined work areas.

  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring devices.

  • Read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and work instructions.

  • Wear all required PPE and comply with FAA, OSHA, customer, and company safety requirements.
