BOOM TRUCK CRANE OPERATOR/TRUCK DRIVER

Overview

Roberts Roofing, a leading Northeast Ohio commercial roofing company, is seeking a skilled, reliable Boom Truck Crane Operator/Truck Driver. We work throughout Ohio and beyond. All interviews will be held confidential.

Basic Job Overview:

Join our friendly, family-oriented commercial roofing company with over 40 years of success. We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Boom Truck Crane Operator/Truck Driver to support our daily operations. Your primary role will involve the safe loading and unloading of roofing equipment and materials at job sites using our company-owned crane. You'll also operate and transport various vehicles and heavy equipment essential to our work. This position is ideal for a versatile, problem-solving individual who enjoys hands-on, diverse tasks in a dynamic work environment.

Skills Required:
  • Clean class A CDL driver's license required.
  • Prior experience operating a Boom truck, Manual shift Tandem axle heavy Diesel trucks, dump body, and stake body vehicles with air drop axle.
  • Drug Free.
Bonus Skills:
  • Commercial roofing experience.
  • Tractor-trailer operation experience.
  • Welding/Fabrication skills.
  • Light mechanical skills.
  • Bodywork and painting abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Load and unload roofing equipment/materials using a crane at job sites.
  • Transport and operate various vehicles and heavy equipment as needed.
  • Assist with problem-solving on specialty projects such as scaffolding, temporary roads, and ramps.
  • Occasionally assist with roofing projects, including climbing ladders and working at heights.
Compensation & Benefits:
  • Highly competitive wages: Starting floor at $27.00 per hour, negotiable based on experience and skills.
