Job Summary:

The Business Analyst serves as a critical liaison between client stakeholders and MPX's technology ecosystem, translating complex business requirements into well-defined technical specifications and actionable solutions. This role spans the full solution lifecycle-encompassing business development, system implementation, feature enhancements, quality assurance, and post-deployment troubleshooting-while engaging with a broad portfolio of internal and external products, platforms, and integrated systems.

About MPX:

MPX helps organizations deliver critical, compliant communications-securely and at scale-across print and digital channels.
We serve leading health plans, insurers, and financial institutions, combining deep print-and-mail expertise with a modern, AWS-based platform built for reliability, security, and compliance.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Duties & Responsibilities:

Serve as the strategic bridge between IT and business units by conducting thorough assessments of client scope, evaluating existing workflows, and authoring detailed requirements documentation to guide development-delivering well-reasoned recommendations to both clients and internal stakeholders

Critically evaluate client-supplied materials to determine MPX's implementation feasibility, establish comprehensive requirements from available inputs, and proactively identify and communicate gaps that may impact delivery

Analyze client data samples to design and refine document solutions that minimize billing inquiries, meet client objectives, and are supported by rigorous, auditable data mapping documentation

Engage meaningfully in client-facing meetings, producing thorough, prioritized, and audience-appropriate meeting notes suitable for both internal teams and external distribution

Develop and sustain deep expertise across structured data formats-including CSV, XML, JSON, and proprietary schemas-spanning the full range of industries served by MPX

Collaborate across multiple internal platforms and external third-party systems, architecting and maintaining integrations that ensure seamless data exchange and operational continuity across the technology stack

Adhere rigorously to client and project manager timelines, proactively surfacing scheduling risks and coordinating with management to mitigate delivery impacts before they escalate

Author and maintain comprehensive training materials; deliver targeted client instruction on MPX toolsets and workflows to ensure adoption and operational proficiency

Apply foundational knowledge of production graphics, graphic design principles, and digital artwork preparation to support cross-functional business initiatives

Collaborate with print processing and operations teams to evaluate, document, and fulfill requirements for new technical support engagements

Lead and execute internal process improvement initiatives as assigned, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and scalability

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 2-4 years of progressive experience in a business analysis or closely related technical role

Advanced proficiency in MySQL, encompassing complex query construction, query optimization, schema analysis, and data validation across relational database environments; 2+ years of direct, hands-on experience required

Demonstrated proficiency in RESTful API design principles and consumption, with practical experience architecting and managing integrations between internal systems and external third-party platforms

2+ years of experience with one or more of the following: scripting languages, object-oriented development methodologies, or multi-record structured data formats including JSON, XML, and CSV

Familiarity with enterprise document composition and output management platforms is strongly preferred; experience with Quadient Inspire, Planet Press, OpenText Dialogue, or Adobe InDesign is a distinct advantage

Exceptional analytical and diagnostic acumen, with a demonstrated ability to deconstruct complex technical problems, identify root causes, and deliver sustainable resolutions

Proven ability to operate effectively in dynamic, high-velocity environments with competing priorities and evolving requirements

Highly self-motivated with an intrinsic drive for continuous improvement; capable of rapidly assimilating new technical concepts and domain knowledge

Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of building productive cross-functional relationships and influencing outcomes across technical and non-technical audiences

Exceptionally detail-oriented with strong organizational discipline, a heightened sense of urgency, and an unwavering commitment to process excellence

Client-centric mindset with a demonstrated commitment to going above and beyond to ensure client satisfaction and long-term partnership success

Comfortable operating in ambiguous or high-pressure situations, with the tenacity to engage directly with complex issues and drive them through to resolution
