Primary Purpose

The role supports the overall analysis and program performance reporting process for Health & Sustainability, including global and local requirements (period reporting, quarterly reporting, scorecards, operational reports) for the annual, quarterly, and periodic reporting across all health and sustainability goals and performance measures.

The role requires coordination ESG Financial reporting and across all US data business owners for the collection of quarterly reporting results across a multitude of data contributors and validators across many teams within merchandising, operations, store development and maintenance, facilities, energy, supply chain, private brands, work safety teams, human resources, etc.

The role is the key contributor and business partner along with ESG Finance to ensure final validation in the global Enablon reporting system.

The role prepares periodic and quarterly results for one of the main four strategic health and sustainability initiatives: healthy sales. The role works with a third-party vendor and the Guiding Stars team to develop the results and provide insights to the brands leads to help drive results towards the monthly, quarterly and annual targets.

The role analyzes and reviews results for accuracy and ensure data is credible by auditing data with supporting documents and ensuring there are proper explanations of year over year and quarter over quarter flux analysis.

The role assists in process improvement opportunities and guiding the business owners with proper changes and implementation for accurate reporting.

Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, and Hyattsville, MD.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the annual and quarterly reporting done across all health and sustainability goals and performance. Ensure accuracy of data, timely submissions, and proper procedures are followed. Be the final validator of the results using an auditor lens on the data
  • Prepare periodic healthy sales reporting with detailed analysis of results, trends and provide opportunities for the brands to improve results
  • Perform analysis of key ESG metrics and processes to evaluate operating efficiency and effectiveness. Implement changes with the business teams including training sessions and providing support where needed
  • Apply critical thinking approach to each project and offer professional insight on the impact of potential alternatives or modifications
  • Maintain and update the annual process documentation procedures and tools to drive results propose potential improvements
  • Work closely with brand managers to provide insightful analysis of results to prepare them for brand conversations to drive the best results and meet our commitments
  • Perform ad hoc data analysis and reporting as requested
  • Additional job duties may be assigned as needed to meet the needs of the business and support our Values.
Requirements
  • At minimum, a high school degree and 3-5 years' experience in data analytics
  • Strong Microsoft Office Skills, specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced Formulas in Excel. (V Lookup's, If, Sum if, pivot tables), required
  • Power BI experience, preferred

  • Familiar with sustainable retailing initiatives such as food waste, recycling, energy, etc. preferred

Preferred Qualifications

Salary ranges:

  • ME/NC/PA/SC: $63,440-$95,160
  • IL/MA/MD/NY: $72,880 - $109,320

Actual compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on their unique qualifications and experience, internal equity, and market conditions. Final compensation decisions will be made in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
