The Traveling Project Specialist plays an important role in supporting our project teams and ensuring work moves smoothly from start to finish. This is an entry-level professional position designed for individuals who are organized, detail-oriented, and eager to build a career in project management within the construction and telecommunications industry.
Location & Travel Requirement: Must reside in Minnesota and be willing and able to travel 50% - 74% along project routes from Minnesota into North Dakota.

What you'll do
  • Production & Reporting: Daily entry and updating of production data, redline drawings, and completed work documentation.
  • Billing & Tracking: Maintain and update daily Excel billing templates to ensure accurate project accounting.
  • Plan Reading & Verification: Read and interpret construction/building prints to verify completed work against project plans.
  • Utility & Permitting Coordination: Utilize 811 ticket/locate experience to support safe project execution along active routes.
  • Project Support: Assist project managers and site teams with administrative and operational tasks to maintain workflow across project sites.

What you'll need
  • Prior exposure to the construction or telecommunications industry is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, templates, basic formulas).
  • Ability to read and understand building prints and construction drawings.
  • Experience with 811 call/ticket procedures is highly preferred.
  • Strong organizational abilities, high attention to detail, clear communication, and a strong drive to learn project management fundamentals.
  • Valid driver's license required.

  • Frequently sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Occasionally stand and/or walk
  • Occasionally bend, squat, kneel or twist
  • Frequent use of sight (specifically, close to perform computer work), hearing and voice
  • Use of hands, arms, and fingers to perform routine and repetitive tasks
