We are seeking a motivated, highly energetic, resourceful, and detail-oriented accounting professional who is interested in building a long-term career in manufacturing finance and developing expertise in cost accounting. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting plant operations, financial reporting, standard costing, inventory management, and cost analysis while partnering closely with experienced accounting and operational leaders.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys analyzing data, solving problems, improving processes, and understanding how financial information impacts business decisions. This position offers the opportunity to expand accounting knowledge, develop manufacturing finance expertise, and grow within an organization that values continuous learning and professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Develop an understanding of manufacturing cost accounting principles, including standard costs, labor, overhead, and material costs.
  • Assist with inventory accounting, including analysis of inventory variances and reconciliation activities.
  • Support cost analysis by reviewing manufacturing expenses, identifying trends, and investigating variances.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and supply chain teams to understand cost drivers and improve financial performance.
  • Assist with maintaining bills of material (BOMs), routings, and cost information within the ERP system.
  • Prepare financial reports and provide analysis to support business decisions.
  • Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and capital expenditure tracking.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency within accounting processes.
  • Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of accounting experience preferred; internship or public accounting experience considered.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to research, identify trends, and solve problems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience working with financial systems or ERP systems preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and desire to learn and grow within a manufacturing finance environment.
