Job Purpose:
This position is the first-level, limited term position (18-24 months) as part of our broader Sales Development Program designed to train and prepare individuals for broader sales roles. This position supports sales efforts through coordination, customer care, and learning sales processes under the guidance of a Sales Manager. The individual develops core competencies through structured assignments, hands-on experience, and close guidance from more experienced team members, while contributing to day-to-day sales and service execution
Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine, structured assignments within an entry level professional role.
  • Develop skills and competence by learning and applying established sales processes, tools, and procedures.
  • Learn the sales process and develop core sales competencies over time. Use existing procedures to resolve routine or standard issues.
  • Support customer care activities by coordinating with appropriate resources to resolve customer issues, process plan changes, and support new sales implementations.
  • Research questions and gather information on behalf of account teams and partners.
  • Assist with data collection and preparation of sales and renewal proposals.
  • Help ensure execution against established sales and service standards.
  • Assist with identifying, escalating, and resolving customer or process issues as needed.
  • Participate in broader training and development and exposure activities to support future growth in the organization.

Job Requirements:
List of general education, background and experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities typically required to effectively perform the responsibilities of the job. Also include any required licenses and/or designations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Insurance, or related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 0+ years relevant experience (1+ preferred)
  • Demonstrated active listening, communication, interpersonal, relationship-building, and independent problem-solving skills, along with presentation and customer service experience.
  • Strong organizational and follow up skills, and proficiency with technology and the ability to research, compile data, and prepare presentations.
  • Aptitude for sales and negotiations.
  • Learning agility and proven success with onsite training, e-learning, and job shadow assignments; aptitude for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Ability to comprehend and follow complex processes, with adaptability to changes and high volumes.
  • Life and Health Insurance License and P&C License (must possess or obtain within 90 days after start date in the position).
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.

Base Salary Range:
$63,300.00 - $95,000.00
