About the Role

We are a fast-growing lending company looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team on-site in Austin, Texas. This is a high-volume, transaction-heavy role that serves as a vital anchor for our accounting and servicing departments.

We are a small, dynamic team where flexibility, collaboration, and initiative are key. We don’t just want someone to tick boxes on a job description—we are looking for a proactive team player who is eager to wear multiple hats, assist colleagues across departments, and actively grow with our company. As you master cash collection and transaction processing, you’ll have clear opportunities to expand your responsibilities into Accounts Payable and beyond.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of clerical accounting tasks supporting both accounting and servicing departments.
  • Main focus will be daily cash collections activities.  This will include picking up mail, processing manual checks with our remote deposits capabilities, running ACH payment procedures, and booking wires and credit card transactions for our lending operations.
  • Accurately record financial transactions using QuickBooks Online (QBO) and our loan servicing software (TMO).
  • Maintain high accuracy in a fast-paced, transaction-heavy environment.
  • Support additional financial functions as you grow in the role, including Accounts Payable processing.
  • Collaborate and assist cross-functional teams across the company when extra help is needed.
  • Qualifications & Requirements
  • Experience: Late entry-level to mid-career experience in accounting or finance.
  • Core Skills: Strong foundation in core accounting principles, with intermediate-to-advanced proficiency in Excel and QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Key Traits: Meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a growth-oriented mindset.
  • Team Player Spirit: Willingness to pitch in beyond daily core tasks to help team members across departments.
  • Languages: Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus but not required.
