Job description

Starting Salary: $53,010   -- Work Days: 185  -- Start: August 2026 
Primary Purpose
Provide students with rigorous instructional experiences in College Preparatory English Language Arts
designed to support college readiness and successful transition into entry-level college coursework.
The teacher will deliver instruction aligned to the Jarrell ISD and Hill College Memorandum of
Understanding (MOU), emphasizing critical reading, academic writing, communication, and college
readiness skills necessary for student success beyond high school.






Qualifications

Education/Certification
Bachelor's degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate in English Language Arts and Reading (ELAR)
Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of college readiness standards and TSIA requirements
Knowledge of curriculum and instruction aligned to college
preparatory coursework
Ability to instruct students in critical reading, academic writing,
research, and composition skills
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with higher education partners and
