Job description

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you’ll play a critcal role in carrying out that mission by helping people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) complete everyday living tasks and achieve their goals.

Schedule Options:

Second shift Part time Hours

    • EVERY OTHER WEEKEND 3P-11PM, EVERY OTHER MONDAY 3P-11PM, AND EVERY OTHER THURSDAY 3PM-11PM (2)

    OR 

    • 11p-7am Monday and every other Saturday and Sunday 11p-7am (3)

      Full Time First/Second shift Hours:

      • Week 1: 11p-7am Sunday, Tuesday Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday
      • Week 2: 11p-7am Monday through Friday (1)

      OR

      • Week 1: 3p-11pm work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday
      • Week 2:  3p - 11pm Sun, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday off every other weekend (1)

      OR

      • Week 1: 7a-3pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
      • Week 2: 7a -3pm Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday off every other weekend (1)

                       
      Location:               Charlotte, North Carolina Compensation:    $17.00/hour

      Your Role in Our Mission

        You will provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in.

      •  Assist with everyday tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning; personal care such as bathing and dressing, toiletry and changing diapers; as well as employment support.
      •  You may transport the client to appointments and run errands.
      • Help plan and organize their schedule.
      •  Daily documentation and reporting in the electronic health system of record.

      What We’re Looking For 

        Experience: entry-level, on-the-job training is provided

      • Education: high school diploma or GED is required 
      • Knowledge: basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols
      • Skills: interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability are a must!
      • Technology: proficiency with EHR systems or technically savvy to learn 
      •  Transportation: DSPs must have reliable transportation, driver’s license, and current auto insurance
