Job description

The Tidal Financial Group is a leading ETF investment technology platform dedicated to creating, operating, and growing ETFs. We combine expertise and innovative partnership approaches to offer comprehensive, value-generating ETF solutions.
Our platform offers best-in-class strategic guidance, product planning, trust and fund services, legal support, operations support, marketing and research, and sales and distribution services.
About the role:
We are seeking a Capital Markets and Board Governance Associate with at least 2-3 years of ETF industry experience to join our Capital Markets team. This role will support ETF issuers and asset managers across trading, liquidity, market structure, and operational workflows while serving as a key point of contact for clients and industry partners. The position also provides exposure to board governance and fund oversight activities for multiple 1940 Act ETF trusts. The ideal candidate combines ETF capital markets knowledge with strong relationship management, communication, and project coordination skills.
What you'll do
  • Serve as a day-to-day Capital Markets contact for clients and partners, addressing questions related to ETF operations, trading, governance, and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with Tidal customers, ETF issuers, broker-dealers, market makers, fund service providers, and other industry participants to ensure a high level of client support.
  • Support board governance activities for multiple 1940 Act ETF trusts, including coordination of board meetings, preparation and review of board materials, trustee communications, governance reporting, and follow-up on action items.
  • Assist with governance-related initiatives and regulatory requirements applicable to registered investment companies and ETF issuers.
  • Prepare presentation materials for board meetings, client engagements, business development opportunities, and prospect meetings.
  • Provide support and insights regarding ETF trading, capital markets, and operational processes across multiple asset classes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional projects involving trading, operations, compliance, legal, fund administration, and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Take ownership of impromptu and ad hoc projects, working independently to deliver solutions on tight timelines.
  • Represent Tidal's trading, capital markets, and strategic relationship functions in client meetings, industry discussions, and partner conversations.
  • Maintain awareness of applicable regulatory and compliance requirements and support internal adherence to established standards.

Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of experience within the ETF industry, including ETF operations, capital markets, trading, fund governance, client service, or related functions.
  • Strong understanding of ETF operational workflows, including creation/redemption processes, fund operations, and trading mechanics.
  • Excellent client-facing communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with senior executives, trustees, portfolio managers, operations teams, and external partners.
  • Ability to translate technical and operational concepts into clear, actionable communication for diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and a willingness to take ownership of new challenges.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting board governance activities for a 1940 Act ETF issuer, trust, or registered investment company.
  • Familiarity with trustee board processes, governance reporting, board materials, and regulatory requirements under the Investment Company Act of 1940.
  • Experience working directly with ETF trading, capital markets, or operations teams at an issuer, broker-dealer, market maker, fund administrator, or service provider.
  • Exposure to ETF launches, fund administration, compliance oversight, or service provider management.
