Description
The Market Analysis team is Apple Retail Real Estate's strategic and quantitative intelligence function - we build the frameworks, tools, and analyses that inform where Apple invests in its 500+ store fleet globally. We combine rigorous measurement with strategic insight to shape how leadership thinks about market opportunity, fleet composition, and capital allocation. We're actively transforming into an AI-native analytics team - replacing static, report-driven workflows with automated pipelines, AI-assisted analysis, and scalable tooling. This role will be a key part of that shift: building and adopting new tools to modernize ways of working.
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years in market analysis, macroeconomic research, or strategy at a major retailer, top-tier consulting firm, investment bank, or technology company
Strong quantitative foundation - proficiency in economic and market modelling, statistical analysis, and working with large, complex datasets from multiple sources
Structured, hypothesis-driven approach to analysis - able to build grounded narratives from incomplete or disparate data
Demonstrated ability to simplify complex issues and deliver content clearly in written, oral, and formal presentation formats for senior and executive audiences
Experience building or actively using AI tools to automate analytical workflows
Proficiency in SQL for data access, manipulation, and validation
Bachelor's degree
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years in market analysis, economic research, or strategy with increasing seniority and scope
Proficiency in Python for data analysis and automation
MBA or equivalent advanced degree
Experience in retail real estate, site selection, or market entry strategy
Familiarity with GIS and spatial analysis tools
Track record of influencing senior investment or expansion decisions through market intelligence
Experience building automated analytics pipelines or AI-powered tools for business intelligence
Cross-functional experience partnering with Finance, Strategy, or Real Estate teams
