This is a senior-level, hands-on engineering role for someone who can work with minimal supervision, apply sound judgment, and take ownership of electrical designs from concept through execution. The ideal candidate is a strong technical problem-solver who can develop clean, efficient electrical diagrams—and identify and correct issues before they reach the field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze schematics, specifications, drawings, and related data to determine design requirements
  • Develop and self-verify accurate electrical device layouts, panel layouts, motor schematics, control schematics, I/O diagrams, and bills of materials
  • Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, company guidelines, and customer contract requirements
  • Support Project Managers, Field Engineers, Purchasing, and Panel Fabrication teams
  • Evaluate, approve, and release design changes and drawing updates
  • Utilize CAD and drafting software to produce detailed electrical designs
  • Communicate design progress and task status to the project team
  • Design electrical systems including power distribution, industrial control panels, and industrial network architectures
  • Interface directly with customers to support installation, commissioning, and required design modifications
  • Provide technical guidance and, when needed, oversee the work of other designers
  • Other responsibilities as required

Qualifications / Requirements

  • 7+ years of electrical design engineering experience in industrial, controls, or automation environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, specifications, and technical documentation
  • Experience designing control panels, motor control circuits, and industrial power distribution systems
  • Proficiency with CAD and electrical design tools
