Overview

Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a motivated and qualified professional to join our team as a Security Service Support Specialist. This role offers the opportunity to support mission-critical government security operations alongside a skilled and dedicated team. 

In this position, you will assist the government security team at Delta 9 by managing visitor control activities, supporting security procedures, and ensuring compliance with collateral and Special Access Program (SAP) requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in SAP and collateral security operations, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a secure, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

The Security Service Support will:

  • Administer and maintain visitor control programs, including processing visitor access requests for Delta 9 facilities 
  • Develop, update, and enforce entry and exit inspection procedures in compliance with SAP and collateral security requirements 
  • Manage and safeguard classified materials and secure classified containers within Delta 9 facilities 
  • Process Program Access Requests (PARs) and maintain accurate program access databases 
  • Conduct security briefings, debriefings, and related administrative activities to ensure compliance with all security protocols and procedures 
  • Identify potential security risks and implement effective solutions to support operational continuity and mission success 
Requirements

Skills and Experience

The Security Service Support must have:

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance  
  • Minimum of 5 years of program security experience supporting SAP programs or highly classified SCIF/SAPF environments  
  • Experience with classified access programs and handling sensitive information with professionalism, discretion, and integrity  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders 
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while exercising sound judgment with minimal supervision 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt in a dynamic, secure environment 

Educations and Certifications

The Security Service Support must meet the following:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Relevant work experience and training may be considered in lieu of a degree

Preferred

  • Center for Development of Security excellence (CDSE) Security Specialist Course and the Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) Certification Program, highly desired

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is/may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.
