POSITION SUMMARY

As the Inventory Control Specialist, you’ll be responsible for all tasks required to maintain accurate inventory records, including daily cycle counting, reconciliation, and accurately maintaining inventory balances and movements. Additional duties will be to coordinate and participate in physical inventory events.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, ensuring proper organization and storage of products.
  • Auditing and Verification:
  • Perform daily cycle counts and reconcile actual stock count to verify inventory accuracy and address discrepancies promptly.
  • Verify warehouse picks to confirm the accuracy of part codes, quantities, and lot numbers.
  • Verify production RTS to confirm the accuracy of part codes, quantities, and lot numbers.
  • Data Entry: Perform data entry for various inventory transactions. Ensure that all documentation and databases match.
  • Reporting: Generate and analyze reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and any variances to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Production Support: Provide support throughout warehouse and production areas to ensure smooth processes are being maintained.
  • Process Improvement: Continuous involvement with cross departmental policies and procedures to ensure SOP’s are always current.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience: Proven experience (at least 2 years) in inventory control, preferably in a Nutraceutical or Pharmaceutical business.
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate degree or higher in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory records.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing data and generating insights to improve inventory processes.
  • Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory databases/reporting and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and address inventory-related challenges with creative and effective solutions.
  • Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free office and manufacturing environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequently sitting, walking, and standing for periods of time
  • Must be able to work near moving mechanical parts
  • May be exposed to occasional dust, cold, and heat
  • Must be able to work in an occasionally loud environment
