Job description

Extract Production Entry - Fort Collins, CO
This is a full-time, hourly-level position.
The starting salary range for this position is $22.00
This position includes a $1,500 sign on bonus ($500 after the completion of a successful 90-day introductory period; $1,000 after the completion of 180 days of continuous employment)
Job Summary:
The Extract Production Entry performs all entry level tasks involved in the production of vanilla extract.  The position follows all established SOPs and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible. 
Essential Job Functions: 
  • Balance safety, quality, and productivity to achieve positive results in all areas; the Extract Production Entry must always work to continuously improve all covered process activities
  • Assist Operators with daily pre-operational setups 
  • Understand all cleaning procedures, including the PPE required to perform the task safely
  • Strictly follow all Process Safety Management regulations, including participation in emergency drills
  • Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards
  • Store ingredients properly and safely, using Julian dates and FIFO
  • Operate entry-level equipment, including bean chopping machines, pneumatic pallet jacks, and tape guns
  • Keep work area neat and clean at all times; clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation
  • Represent, promote, and enforce exceptionalism with all regulatory agencies (OSHA, SQF) and their applicable policies
  • Other duties as assigned 
Job Qualifications: 
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years' manufacturing experience preferred

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, use hands or fingers to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms on a frequent basis
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to fifty-five (55) pounds on a frequent basis 
  • Ability to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl on an occasional basis
