Job description

For more than 58 years, Triangle Sport line winders have been recognized as the world's premier spooling stations. Originating from a collaboration with Abu Garcia in 1962, Triangle Sport has set the industry standard with hand-built, lifetime-engineered line winders. Essential for tackle shops, serious anglers, and professionals, our line winders ensure perfectly spooled lines for fly fishing, freshwater fishing, offshore fishing, and everything in between.
Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Line Winder Assembly Technician to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of complex assembly operations on small to medium-sized electro-mechanical assemblies (or sub-assemblies) with strict tolerance requirements. The technician will ensure the production of high-quality products that meet customer specifications and provide comprehensive support activities, including customer assistance.
Hours - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assembly and Inspection:

    • Operate manual and power tools to position, align, and fit parts precisely according to knowledge or blueprints.
    • Utilize basic and advanced measurement tools to test, evaluate, and troubleshoot line winder assemblies during first piece, in-process, and final inspections.
    • Perform all necessary customer repairs.
  • Material Management:

    • Conduct basic data entry to update the status of job orders.
    • Understand customer requirements to create production orders, issue materials, schedule daily activities, and handle receiving.
    • Prepare packaging and complete all related documentation for shipping completed assemblies and repairs, including international shipments.
    • Place orders with suppliers through established blanket orders.
    • Docu:30 PMment and inspect incoming shipments from suppliers.
    • Assist with inventory maintenance.
  • Customer Support:

    • Provide telephone support for all line winder products, including processing customer orders and diagnosing repair issues.
    • Help maintain customer discrepancy logs.
    • Train other associates one-on-one.
    • Complete all required documentation and report labor accurately and promptly.
    • Adhere to safety guidelines, quality system procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Qualifications:

  • Strong attention to detail and precision in assembly tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Proficiency with manual and power tools, as well as measurement instruments.
  • Good communication skills for customer support and training purposes.
  • Basic data entry and material management skills.
  • Understanding of safety and quality procedures.
