CAD Technician I

Full-time

Posted 14 days ago

Job description

This is a On-Site Opportunity in one of our Florida Locations: Port St. Lucie, FL, Rockledge FL or West Palm Beach, FL * For those selected candidates you will have to take an AUTOCAD Test.

Introduction:

As a CAD Technician, you’ll bring bold ideas to life—blending fieldwork, technical problem‑solving, and hands‑on design to create the backbone of critical infrastructure. If you’re energized by innovation and ready to make a real impact, this is where your next career adventure begins.

Responsibilities:

Step into a role where your technical creativity helps shape critical gas pipeline projects from the ground up! As a CAD Drafter, you’ll take imaginative engineering concepts and bring them to life—transforming rough ideas into precise, high‑quality CAD drawings. You’ll develop detailed construction plans, topographical profiles, and maps that guide major field operations, all while plotting cross‑sections and contour data that tell the story of the land. Your work will take you beyond the desk too, joining survey crews in the field to gather real‑world measurements that sharpen every design. From calculating rights‑of‑way and street layouts to designing concrete and steel supports for pipeline systems, you’ll build the structural backbone of each project. You’ll craft preliminary and final sketches, refine drawings with engineering teams, and create polished as‑built documents that mark the project’s successful completion. If you’re energized by hands‑on design, excited by engineering challenges, and ready to see your work become real‑world infrastructure, this role offers the perfect blend of innovation, impact, and growth.

What We Offer:

  • A supportive and inclusive work environment that values diversity and encourages innovation.
  • Opportunities for professional growth and career development.
  • Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including generous paid time off, retirement program with a company match, tuition reimbursement, and flexible work schedules.
  • Benefits offered include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plan with company match. Also offered are tuition reimbursement, voluntary life, disability, critical illness, accident and hospitalization plans. HSA or FSA medical accounts and FSA dependent care and transportation/parking accounts are also available. These benefits are subject to employee contribution amounts generally set annually. Full-time employees are eligible to earn PTO hours. May be eligible for discretionary bonus as determined by the company.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An Associate of Applied Science degree (AAS) in Design and Drafting Technology strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Excellent communication skills.
