To thrive as an Entity Manager, you need a solid understanding of corporate governance, compliance regulations, and entity lifecycle management, typically supported by a bachelor's degree in business, law, or a related field. Familiarity with entity management software (such as Diligent or GEMS), document management systems, and regulatory filing platforms is often required. Entity Managers often oversee legal entities operating in various states or countries, each with its own regulatory requirements. Keeping up with shifting compliance deadlines, differing annual filing requirements, and local corporate governance standards can be complex. Successful Entity Managers develop strong organizational systems and work closely with legal, tax, and finance teams to ensure that all entities remain in good standing. Leveraging entity management software and maintaining regular communication with cross-functional partners are key strategies for managing these challenges effectively.

Since 2018, we've been transforming business identity verification, replacing slow, manual processes with seamless access to complete, up-to-date data. Our platform helps companies across industries confidently verify business identities, onboard customers faster, and reduce risk at every stage of the customer lifecycle.

About The Role:
We're hiring an engineering leader to lead our Entity Management team. This team is responsible for building new business services that help companies form, maintain, and manage business entities throughout their lifecycle. These products automate complex, multi-step workflows through agentic systems that act on behalf of our customers.
This is a team taking early products to general availability. You'll partner with a small, cross-functional group of functional leads spanning Product, Go-to-Market, and Operations to scale these products through embedded partner distribution. You'll work closely with legal and compliance SMEs, and with engineers on your team to build and extend agentic automation-scrapers, portal bots, and intelligent workflow orchestration-that powers our products at scale.
Your primary responsibility will be the success of your team of 6-8 engineers. This includes hiring, coaching, and mentoring to ensure your team delivers impactful results for the business. While this is primarily a management role, you'll need deep technical fluency to guide architectural decisions, scope new products, evaluate trade-offs in automation strategies, and engage meaningfully with your team's work.
What You'll Do:
  • Manage and coach a team of 6-8 full-stack engineers, supporting their growth by identifying development opportunities, providing continuous feedback, and addressing performance management needs.
  • Own the technical roadmap and strategy for Entity Management, driving a growing suite of business services from early availability to general availability.
  • Drive the evolution of agentic automation systems-including scrapers, portal bots, and intelligent workflow orchestration-that power our products at scale.
  • Partner with a cross-functional team of functional leads across Product, Go-to-Market, and Operations to shape roadmap priorities and go-to-market strategy.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance subject matter experts to ensure products meet regulatory requirements.
  • Scale products from early availability to GA through embedded partner channels, working closely with partners to incorporate feedback and iterate quickly.
  • Partner with our recruiting team to hire and build your team with humble, self-driven engineers as we scale our engineering organization.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering leadership team to continue to define our culture and improve our engineering team through scalable and repeatable processes.

What We're Looking For:
  • 2+ years of experience leading product engineering teams in either an engineering manager or team lead capacity.
  • 6+ years of product engineering experience as an individual contributor, with strong technical skills that enable you to deeply engage with architectural decisions and guide your team through complex technical trade-offs.
  • Experience building and scaling agentic or automation-heavy systems-e.g., web scrapers, workflow orchestration, bot-driven interactions with external systems.
  • A strong understanding of customer needs, with a proven track record of aligning engineering goals to deliver impactful, user-focused outcomes.
  • Ability to effectively manage stakeholders, communicate in a structured and clear manner, and drive accountability across the team.
  • Demonstrated ability to grow and manage a team through coaching, mentorship, and providing constructive performance feedback.

Nice-to-Have:
  • Previous experience at early or mid-stage startups as a founder, team lead, or early-stage manager.
  • Experience working in compliance-heavy or regulated environments.
  • Experience with embedded or partner-first product distribution models.
  • Experience working on Payroll, HRtech, Fintech, Risk, and/or Enterprise SaaS products.
