Job description

Description

The National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) and its grassroots member organizations create opportunities for people to build wealth. We work with community leaders, policymakers, and financial institutions to champion fairness in banking, housing, and business. NCRC was formed in 1990 by national, regional, and local organizations to increase the flow of private capital into traditionally underserved communities. NCRC has grown into an association of more than 600 community-based organizations in 42 states that promote access to basic banking services, affordable housing, entrepreneurship, job creation, and vibrant communities for America's working families.

Who you are: The intern believes in NCRC's mission, is a high-energy and creative team player, and has great writing, editing, relationship-building, and organizational skills.

Position Overview:

Fall Internship: The intern supports Marketing and fundraising projects, which may include research, writing, web production, social media, and editing. Our interns do substantive work and get exposed to a range of issues, including fair housing and fair lending, grassroots organizing and advocacy, community and economic development, and workforce development. The intern's schedule, workload, and deadlines will accommodate the calendar of the academic institution or center with which the intern is affiliated. NCRC will be mindful of exam schedules and school-related closings. The intern will grow and learn new skills that can be added to the intern's resume. Upon completion of the internship, the intern will have experiences that will inform their academic studies and will prepare the intern to more knowledgeably pursue a chosen major and career path. NCRC will provide the appropriate level of guidance and feedback to support the intern's educational development and program.
