Job description

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Install/Strike of lighting elements.
  • Assist with Install/Strike of special effects in the park.
  • Assist with Maintenance of lighting instruments and special effect elements to the component levels.
  • Opening and Closing duties in the park.
  • Completes assigned projects with minimal Supervision.
  • Responds to park trouble calls with minimal assistance.
  • Run temporary power for seasonal events.
  • Intermediate lighting knowledge including hanging and focusing of lighting instruments and addressing fixtures.
  • Basic knowledge and operational skills of theatrical lighting consoles from ETC, High End, or others.
  • Basic knowledge of the safe assembly of truss structures including freestanding structures and towers on ballasts.
  • Ability to install lighting and special effects equipment including power runs, data runs, LED lighting, moving lights, fog machines, bubble machines, and snow machines.
  • Ability to follow direction on the maintenance of lighting and special effects equipment including conventional and LED lighting, moving lights, fog machines, bubble machines, and snow machines.
  • Ability to read theatrical lighting plots and paperwork including channel hookups, instrument schedules, and focus charts.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Occasionally assist other locations and areas in the park as needed.


Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving guidelines
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills; able to read, write and speak English
  • 2 to 3 years of experience with theatrical lighting and special effects.
  • Theatrical Rigging experience (preferred)

Compensation: 20.00 USD Hourly
