The Blizzard Animation team is looking for a Senior Cinematic Producer with proven experience producing animation, visual effects, or game trailers. A successful candidate will have a comprehensive knowledge of a variety of animation pipelines, exhibit outstanding communication skills and have relevant experience leading a team of digital artists to successfully deliver the assigned content on time, on budget and a level of quality that Blizzard is known for.

This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA. However, we understand each person's circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore other possible options, including remote work arrangements.

This is a 12-month temporary position.

Responsibilities

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:

  • Handle the daily flow of communication for their given project(s) including organizing dailies, taking/distributing notes, active participation as part of show leadership, and help maintain crew and studio morale
  • Create and manage project schedules, budgets, track tasks, and deadlines as needed
  • Organize meetings that facilitate creative discussions between Blizzard Animation, Game Development Teams, and any support teams as necessary
  • Work with other departments to determine scope as well as schedule localization, sound, post, and marketing needs for the project(s)
  • Ensure that team members have the resources they need to complete their tasks/assignments including but not limited to assets and tools
  • Set goals for department and project deliverables and communicate progress to team members, upper management, game development, and support teams by creating weekly/monthly reports and milestone check-ins

Minimum Requirements:

Experience

  • 8+ years of animation, Game or VFX linear media production in a professional environment
  • 5 years working as a Producer in a Professional Animation/VFX or Gaming Company
  • Experience producing in-game content, preferably using Unreal Engine
  • Successful track record of building and leading creative teams

Knowledge & Skills

  • Knowledge of 3D animation production pipelines
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Existing knowledge of Blizzard Entertainment games, characters, or existing lore

Key Attributes

  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently as needed
  • Ability to build and develop strong relationships across all of Blizzard
  • Ability to foresee and identify potential issues/roadblocks, then facilitate and lead discussions to minimize their impact on production

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $82,240.00 - $152,160.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
