Job Duties
To enhance the correctional programs of the Commonwealth of Virginia by operating a viable business entity that provides jobs and work skills for sentenced offenders to help them successfully re-enter society and offers quality goods and services to our customers, on time and at a fair price.

To provide support operations in a apparel plant by performing accurate data entry, purchasing, inventory control, customer service, reporting, and prioritizing job production for the production staff at the plant.
If hired by VCE you will start or restart a 12 month probationary period. This is for all New Hires, Transfers, returning State Employees.
Minimum Qualifications
Proficiency in computer keyboarding and MS Word, Outlook, and Excel. Proficiency in planning, organizing, record-keeping, purchasing, problem-solving, and training. Ability to effectively manage time, maintain attention to detail, prioritize, and make decisions. Ability to work independently, resolve problems, and perform effectively in complex work situations that involve multi-tasking and procedural requirements. Ability to work in environments in which production, chemical, equipment or other environmental risks may be present. Ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing, listen effectively and handle difficult situations. Prior experience in an office or manufacturing environment.
Additional Considerations
Experience in production planning or scheduling. Experience with a ERP/MRP system.
