Brown Advisory seeks to hire an enterprise software developer to join a team focused on improving efficiencies and delivering technology capabilities for the firm.You will use your knowledge of C#, .NET, SQL databases, JavaScript, and cloud services. Our 2026 roadmap focuses on AI enablement.

The primary duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Owning the design, architecture, coding and bug-fixing of new enhancements and the support of existing modules.

  • Maintaining effective communications with team leader, team members, stakeholders and other Brown Advisory staff.

  • Ensuring that applications and systems are supportable by the production support team and providing level 2 support when needed.

  • Peer reviews the work of team members

  • Championing the adoption of continuous improvement processes.

  • Recommend new technology, policies or processes to benefit the organization and improve efficiency. May lead or participate in technical evaluations of vendor software.

  • Complete other related duties or projects as required, which may include playing a lead role in due diligence or cost/benefit analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering or a related scientific or technical field.

  • 5+ years of progressive engineering experience.

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.

  • Mentoring experience is a plus.

  • US citizen or permanent resident.

  • Ability to work in an office location and adhere to the firm's hybrid work policy


Technical Skills

  • Experience deploying solutions to Azure

  • Experience leveraging Azure managed services

  • Experience leveraging LLM tools & platforms

  • Strong hands-on experience with C#/.NET Core

  • Experience with JavaScript Single Page Application frameworks

  • Strong SQL knowledge.

  • Ability to design an end-to-end solution

  • Experience with ETL tools is a plus

  • Experience using leading cloud providers and cloud native software architectures (AWS, Azure)

  • Experience with one or more integration technologies (SSIS, Informatica, Boomi, Mulesoft, Glue, Talend, etc.) is a huge plus.

  • Experience with Angular is a plus

  • Financial Services / Asset management industry experience is a plus.

  • Experience with Salesforce is a plus.

  • Experience with Snowflake is a plus.

  • Experience with Workday is a plus.

  • Experience with data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau or Qlik is a plus.

  • Python experience is a plus.
