Job description

Job Summary:
Peraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence. They are seeking an experienced Enterprise Services Engineer to join their national intelligence program, focusing on engineering, application development, and the deployment of products and services to meet global missions.
Responsibilities:
• Design, install, and configure secure and scalable systems to support our client's infrastructure.
• Analyze business requirements to determine technology needs and stay cognizant of new technology, trends and innovations to continually improve system performance.
• Drive initiatives working with product managers to integrate new technologies into systems infrastructure.
• Plan and implement systems automation to improve efficiencies as applicable.
• Implement and monitor system performance metrics.
• Develop and maintain interfaces for tools and complex systems.
• Develop, implement and maintain processes and procedures for all enterprise monitoring.
• Diagnose the system for vulnerabilities and take appropriate action to resolve complex issues.
• Proactively manage and maintain server, network and firewall systems.
• Maintain system security and data integrity.
• Travel: Travel may be required within the National Capital Region (NCR) on an as needed basis for customer or corporate requirements.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Active Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance with ability to obtain a Poly.
• Minimum of 8 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree (Master's degree and 6 years of relevant experience; High School Diploma and 12 years of relevant experience).
• Proven work experience as an Enterprise Systems Engineer or similar role.
• Experience with system design and management.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of system security and data protection.
Preferred:
• Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
• BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platform technologies, preferably AWS.
• Experience in Java application development, EMC VNX, network monitoring, user provisioning and continuous integration.
• Familiarity with big data tools such as Elasticsearch, Splunk, NiFi, Kafka, etc.
• Background in Agile/Scrum methodologies for iterative development.
• Strong familiarity with NoSQL/SQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.).
• Experience working with REST APIs, including secure transport methodologies.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools like GitLab and Jenkins.
• Expertise in Microservices Architecture, Java, Spring, and Spring Boot.
