Job description

Enterprise Application Project Manager
We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Application Project Manager (10โ€“12 years maximum experience) to lead the end-to-end planning and execution of large-scale enterprise application implementations and cloud migrations as part of a major corporate IT separation.
This role serves as the central coordination engine bridging business leaders, technical workstreams, cloud infrastructure teams, system integrators (SIs), and the Separation PMO. You will oversee the migration and deployment of core enterprise SaaS and platform applicationsโ€”such as ServiceNow, PeopleSoft, Workday, Microsoft 365/Dynamics, or other large enterprise suitesโ€”ensuring seamless operational continuity, rigorous governance, and successful Day 1 cutovers.
  • Primary Location: Birmingham, AL (Preferred)
  • Secondary Location: Atlanta, GA (Acceptable alternative)
  • Experience Level: 10 to 12 years maximum
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Governance
  • Lead enterprise cloud application migration workstreams through all project lifecycle phases: Assess & PlanDesign & SetupMigrate & Validate, and Cutover & Hypercare.
  • Establish robust project governance: manage cross-functional RAID logs, track interdependencies across enterprise systems, run change control reviews, and provide executive-level status reporting.
  • Own the integrated project schedule, milestone sign-offs, acceptance-gate criteria, and Day 1 separation deliverables.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication
  • Serve as the central communication hub across business stakeholders, technical application owners, cloud/infrastructure engineering teams, and information security.
  • Translate complex technical and architectural details into clear business impacts and actionable timelines for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Align business process readiness with technical cutover schedules across all operating sites and user groups.
Cloud & Enterprise Application Migration Delivery
  • Drive end-to-end cloud migrations and tenant deployments across enterprise platforms (ServiceNow, PeopleSoft, Workday, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, or equivalent core business systems).
  • Coordinate identity, access, data migration, and integration dependencies with cloud landing zones and underlying Azure/cloud infrastructure teams.
  • Manage API/connector remediation, interface testing, and data validation across upstream and downstream systems prior to final production cutover.
Vendor & System Integrator (SI) Oversight
  • Manage day-to-day delivery accountability for third-party implementation partners and System Integrators.
  • Track Statement of Work (SOW) deliverables, milestone payments, technical defect remediation, and quality standards against contractual commitments.
Testing, Cutover & Hypercare Stabilization
  • Direct System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), regression testing, and user sign-offs.
  • Plan and execute multi-wave cutovers, pilot migrations, and go/no-go operational readiness forums.
  • Lead post-go-live hypercare to achieve swift defect resolution, zero Sev-1/Sev-2 incidents, and formal transition to steady-state operational support.
Required Qualifications
  • 10 to 12 years of progressive project management experience delivering large-scale enterprise application implementations and cloud migrations.
  • Demonstrated experience migrating or implementing one or more major enterprise application suites to the cloud (e.g., ServiceNow, Workday, PeopleSoft, Microsoft 365/Dynamics, Salesforce, SAP, or Oracle Cloud).
  • Exceptional communication, executive stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skills bridging business, engineering, and cloud infrastructure groups.
  • Strong background managing System Integrators, vendor delivery schedules, and SOW milestone tracking.
  • Experience managing multi-wave cutovers, testing governance (SIT/UAT), and post-launch hypercare.
  • Deep proficiency with project management tools, RAID frameworks, and dependency tracking across complex multi-tenant environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with corporate IT separations, divestitures, carve-outs, or Transition Services Agreement (TSA) exit frameworks.
  • PMP, Agile/Scrum, or relevant cloud/enterprise platform certifications.
  • Experience operating within Fortune 500 or multi-business-unit distributed environments.
