Job Description Our client, a ~$50M Social Services Organization, is seeking a Sr. Accountant to join the GL Accounting Group to help lead GL posting, financial reporting, P&L reviews, financial analysis, closes, audits, and tax prep. Actuals, variance analysis, and produce key financial statements for both internal and external stakeholders. Oversee the full accounting cycle by recording journal entries, maintaining the general ledger, performing trial balances, and reconciling subsidiary accounts to ensure data integrity. Identify accounting errors and workflow bottlenecks to suggest process improvements, while maintaining detailed documentation of departmental policies and procedures.

Supervise the month-end close process and leverage extensive federal and state fund accounting expertise to manage complex funding streams and ensure accurate accruals. Lead the preparation for annual external audits and ensure timely completion of quarterly and annual statutory filings in strict accordance with regulatory guidance and internal policies. Qualifications BA of Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field; CPA or Higher Ed a Plus 3+ years of Non-Profit Accounting experience Government Grants / Contract Net Deficit Accounting experience Experience with enterprise accounting software; I.E Netsuite, Sage Intacct, Financial Edge
