Audiologist needed to work in a school district in Michigan, outside of Detroit, to cover a FMLA from 8/31-11/24. This is the perfect opportunity to see the fall leaves and be out of MI before the winter really hits! School district is known to support contract staff and include them in decisions, meetings, and day-to-day school activities. There is a prescreen video interview prior to meeting with district hiring manager. With travel stipends, hourly pay rate is between $59-62 per hour. Caseload/Details: Short-term assignment to cover a 12-week maternity leave Support Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) students across the district Participate in evaluations, consultations, and educational planning for students with hearing impairments Job Description: Perform audiological assessments and educationally relevant Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) evaluations to assess auditory and communication skills Collaborate with clinical audiologists and ENT providers to obtain medical reports necessary for DHH eligibility determinations and Hearing Assistive Technology (HAT) medical clearances Assist families with follow-up regarding clinical recommendations Interpret evaluation results for teachers, parents, and school staff Consult with support staff and families regarding the educational implications of hearing loss Participate with the Early On Team serving the DHH birth-to-age-3 population, including home visits as needed
