Job description

Discovery Health Sciences Schools seeks an English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher for grades K-8th. An ideal candidate will have a valid Louisiana teaching certificate with an ESL endorsement. The ELL teacher will be responsible for preparing coursework and delivering English Language lessons during small group instruction, conducting and collecting the Home Language Surveys, collaborating with teachers and Curriculum Division Heads, providing push-in classroom support, preparing students for the ELPT assessment, Assisting with administration of the ELPT assessment, and completing accommodation paperwork prior to LEAP assessment. This position will support English Language Learners at 2 campuses -Dr. John Ochsner Discovery (Jefferson) and Baton Rouge Ochsner Discovery (Baton Rouge). Position available now.
