  • Ensure the accurate interpretation and application of credit risk policies and guidelines.
  • Assess credit applications and structures from lending units and provide recommendations to senior management.
  • Develop and monitor lending activities using out-of-order, impaired, and watch list credits, and escalate as needed.
  • Help minimize credit loss experience through sound lending practices, implementation of policies and guidelines, and early identification of deteriorating credit situations.
  • Prepare quarterly financial risk reports for senior management and the Board of Directors.
  • Develop and maintain organizational financial risk indicators and limits.
  • Contribute to credit risk quantification initiatives, including PD, LGD and EAD models, the Internal Capital Model process, ORSA process and Stress Testing Program.

  • Has a minimum of 8 years of recent experience in credit risk.
  • Has experience with credit adjudication on loan portfolios.
  • Demonstrates exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates the ability to influence senior management and exercise sound judgment.
  • Has strong communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
  • Has sound knowledge of IFRS 9 and its application, which would be considered an asset.
  • Level of advanced English language proficiency required, as the incumbent will be required to communicate daily with English-speaking clients and partners across Canada through email and telephone conversations.
  • Intermediate French language proficiency required.

Why you'll love working with us

  • A work environment where learning and development are combined with a shared pursuit of excellence.
