Job description

Our Phoenix, AZ office is seeking a full-time Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to support our Roadway group. The ideal candidate will have experience in Roadway Engineering. We are looking for someone with great communication skills who enjoys being part of a team environment. We are seeking a self-starter with a high attention to detail that wants to work in a professional setting advancing their career in civil/roadway design. Additionally, you will collaborate with other project engineers, project managers, and support staff, as well as our clients, to ensure the successful completion of tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform basic design of Highways and Municipal Roadways.
  • Support production of construction plans and documents.
  • Complete quantity take-offs and cost estimating.
  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines both internal and external.

Required Skills:

  • Strong work ethic and an understanding of engineering principles.
  • Experience in CADD utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D and MicroStation, OpenRoads Designer is a plus.
  • Proven teamwork and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite products including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Good intrapersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate thoughts and ideas to peers, senior staff, and clients.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineeringor related curriculum from an ABET accredited school.
  • Engineering Intern Certification.
  • 0-3years' experience in civil design.
  • Ability to effectively work with other engineers and technicians.
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation software is highly preferred.

Hourly Earnings: $36.00 - $45.00 (Depending on Experience)
