Job Description

Triso-X is looking for a forward-thinking Engineering Manager, to lead and manage the engineering team in the planning, execution and delivery of large-scale technical projects and products while ensuring high standards of quality, efficiency and alignment with organizational objectives.
This position will focus on large scale projects supporting our fuel fabrication plant in Oak Ridge, TN. The Engineering Manager will have the approval authority to oversee project leads and handle reporting from various teams to create strategies that will lead to project success.
The Engineering Manager will interact with engineering firms, supplier technical reps, contracts, procurement, etc. Candidates should be able to communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization and have the skillset to translate each objective.


Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of the engineering design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program / project requirements.
  • Manages the utilization of engineering resources across multiple projects and ensures qualified engineers are performing assigned work.
  • Manage design cycle sprints and provide direction to ensure the convergence of efforts of engineering team members, partners, and suppliers to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality engineering work products that are on schedule and within budget as defined by the Project leadership.
  • Manages (functional area) engineering staff by ensuring staff are meeting expectations and promoting staff professional development.
  • Influences the development of strategy, methodology, and technical tools for the area of responsibility, including control of resources and policy formulation.
  • Interprets internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes, tools, or services.
  • Uses high level of judgement to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operations, product management, technology, or engineering.
  • Assesses quality of information given and asks pertinent questions to stakeholders.
  • Offers new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and can construct and provide recommendations.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary engineering team to create the next generation nuclear reactor and/or nuclear fuel related technologies.
  • Perform work in accordance with design control procedures, ensuring thorough documentation of work, facilitation of internal and external design reviews, and control of product design configuration data.
  • Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Profile Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Typically, ten plus years of professional experience in project engineering after completion of undergraduate study. Graduate degrees typically count as two plus years of experience.
  • Experience estimating time and resources needed to execute engineering activities.
  • Requires specialized knowledge within the function of project engineering management.

Work Site Expectations: 5 days in office

Travel: 10% potential

Hours:8:00am-5:00pm, Mon-Fri

Compensation

Offers within the posted salary range are commensurate with the individual's qualifications for the position, along with a view on internal equity, market data, and room for growth. The salary range for this position is:
