Isola, an industry leader in global materials sciences whose mission is to improve life by enabling innovation in electronic products, is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Manager at our Ridgeway, SC, location.

THE ROLE

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager ensures that the plant has the necessary manufacturing process capability to deliver high-quality products to our customers consistently. This role will lead and develop a team of engineers and technicians to issue resolution and efficiency optimization while working closely with Operations Management, Global Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Sourcing. This role will focus on plant capacity, equipment utilization, and product issue resolution to ensure high-quality, high-yield products are manufactured.

TOP RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Leading the manufacturing/process engineering team's daily tasks.
  • Leading daily, weekly,/monthly engineering goals and plant engineering objectives.
  • Maintaining engineering standards and methods, including Packaging Standards/Periodic Maintenance/Preventative Maintenance.
  • Implementing continuous improvement programs to enhance yields, productivity, and capacity capabilities.
  • Actively working hands-on with all supporting functions in analyzing and resolving product/system issues.
  • Resolving production constraints, including material, equipment, specifications, and personnel.
  • Analyzing capacity and technical capabilities and developing the engineering team to support those goals.
  • Working closely with engineering staff to increase process capabilities and implementation/use of Lean/Six Sigma Methodologies/tools.
  • Ability to work within a company registered/compliant with National and International Standards and Requirements, contributing to those standards and requirements, such as ISO, EICC, OSHA, etc.
  • Applying technology as appropriate within the existing CAPex and ECN processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor of Science or higher degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering, etc)
  • 10 years of engineering experience with a minimum of 5 years of continuous experience as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager managing direct reports
  • Program management experience
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
  • Experience with Outlook, Excel, Word, and Statistical Software
