Job description

Engineering Supervisor

The Engineering Supervisor provides strategic leadership and technical oversight for the Engineering Division within the Public Works Department. This role is responsible for managing a team of professional engineers, and technicians to ensure the safe, efficient, and sustainable development of county infrastructure, including roads, bridges, and drainage systems.

As a key leader, you will bridge the gap between high-level policy and technical execution, ensuring all projects comply with Oregon Revised Statutes (ORS), environmental regulations, and county standards.

Work schedule: Monday through Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Minimum qualifications: Possession of a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university and seven (7) years engineering/planning experience, with two (2) years of supervisory experience preferred; or any equivalent combination of experience, education and training. Required special qualifications: Must possess and maintain a professional engineering license valid in the State of Oregon. Must possess and maintain a valid Oregon driver's license.
