The test lab conducts climatic, dynamic and mechanical tests. The successful candidate should be familiar with these tests and their related equipment and with energetic materials and products.

Job Description

Supervise the lab and its employees, including handling disputes, providing feedback, training, providing technical guidance and assistance, creating and implementing plans, creating and maintaining management tools, managing operating costs within budget, maintaining lab equipment, developing and using tracking systems, implementing six sigma and continuous improvement (CI) activities, and working proactively and preventatively. 

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.

Demonstrated experience supervising in a test lab and/or manufacturing environment and managing people, including assessing abilities, setting goals and training.

Experience in scheduling and prioritizing resources. 

Demonstrated ability to interpret customer, government and industry specifications.

Demonstrated knowledge of various data acquisition and measurement techniques. 

Experience in writing procedures for products and/or facilities.

Proven communication, problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft office programs. 

Familiarity with the test methods and equipment in climatic, dynamic, and mechanical tests, as well as with data acquisition (oscilloscopes, thermocouples, accelerometers, pressure transducers, etc.)

Ability to pass an extensive background check
