Program Dates: May 2026 – June 30, 2026
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Position Type: Part-TimeJob Summary

We are seeking a dependable, adaptable, and leadership-minded Team Leader to support youth enrichment programs throughout the Watsonville area. This role is designed to “stand in the gap” by assisting Program Leaders with daily operations, supporting instructors and staff, and stepping into leadership responsibilities when needed.

The Team Leader serves as a reliable second-in-command who helps ensure programs run smoothly, staff remain supported, and students receive a safe, positive, and engaging experience. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, calm under pressure, and passionate about youth programs and team support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Program Leaders with daily program operations and site support
  • Step into the Program Leader role when coverage or additional support is needed
  • Help supervise instructors, support staff, and program activities
  • Maintain a positive, organized, and professional environment for students and staff
  • Support communication between site staff, families, and leadership teams
  • Help resolve minor on-site issues and escalate concerns appropriately
  • Monitor attendance, program flow, and student engagement
  • Ensure safety procedures and program expectations are followed
  • Provide hands-on assistance during transitions, activities, and dismissal times
  • Serve as a dependable floating support person across multiple program needs
Qualifications
  • Prior experience working with youth programs, camps, afterschool programs, or educational settings preferred
  • Leadership, supervisory, or team support experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly and take initiative when needed
  • Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
  • Comfortable managing responsibilities independently when required
  • Reliable transportation preferred
  • Must pass all required background clearances
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting multiple sites or teams
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Experience in recreation, education, childcare, or enrichment programming
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred
