Job description

Reliable Automatic Sprinkler Company is seeking a MES Manager who will manage the development, installation, and administration of manufacturing information systems. This role will lead the development and support of systems that enable efficient, data-driven production operations. This role is responsible for implementing and optimizing manufacturing technology solutions, integrating shop floor systems with enterprise platforms, and driving improvements in visibility, performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead the end-to-end design and deployment of a new MES solution.
  • Maintains existing manufacturing execution/information systems and oversees configuration, implementation, and user acceptance of new or enhanced modules.
  • Define and support system architecture that connects production equipment with enterprise platforms.
  • Establish data collection, storage, and reporting capabilities to improve operational visibility and decision-making.
  • Collects data management or functionality requirements from production departments and coordinates with internal/external development departments to ensure requirements are met. 
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to monitor production performance and key metrics. Generates reports tracking production items through the production lifecycle.
  • Drive continuous improvement through advanced analytics, automation, and emerging technologies.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Ensures that system specifications, input and output processes, and working parameters for hardware and software are compatible with existing systems and promote stability across technology platforms. 
  • Monitors system availability against established performance standards and troubleshoots and resolves networking and operating system problems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in manufacturing systems, MES, or industrial automation environments
  • Experience with:
    • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and SCADA platforms
    • Industrial automation systems, including PLCs and HMIs 
    • Data collection from production equipment and IIoT devices
    • Database management (e.g., SQL) and system integration
    • Cloud platforms and enterprise system integration (ERP)
  • Proven experience leading system implementations and cross-functional initiatives
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles. 
  • Ability to work as part of a team. Management skills. Problem/situation analysis. Computer skills. Accounting skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with specific platforms and tools such as:
    • Rockwell Automation (PLC/HMI), Ignition, Kepware
    • Microsoft Azure and cloud-based data architectures
    • Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O) or similar ERP systems 
    • Power BI or other visualization tools
  • Programming experience (e.g., JavaScript, C++, or similar)
  • Exposure to machine learning, AI, or predictive maintenance applications
  • Experience in highly automated manufacturing environments
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
