Job Description
The Project Engineer will serve as a Control Account Manager (CAM) and CAM Team Lead for the Ground Production Operations Integrated Product Team (IPT) within the Long Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) program. This role is responsible for managing multiple control accounts, ensuring performance, cost, and schedule compliance, and providing routine status and reporting to IPT leadership and program management.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead the CAM team, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight on EVM execution and control account best practices
- Serve as Control Account Manager (CAM) for multiple Ground Production Operations control accounts.
- Develop, maintain, and manage cost, schedule, and technical baselines for assigned control accounts.
- Monitor performance, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and deliver regular cost, schedule, and technical status updates to IPT leadership and program management.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, supply chain, finance, and scheduling teams to ensure alignment with program execution.
- Support earned value management (EVM) activities, including variance analysis and estimate-at-complete (EAC) updates.
- Ensure control account work aligns with program requirements, milestones, and risk management plans.
- Contribute to internal reviews, customer reviews, and program audits as required.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or related technical field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in managing scope, schedule, and cost within a project or program environment.
- Significant experience as a CAM or in project cost / schedule management
- Strong understanding of earned value management (EVM) principles and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and mentor peers
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret cost and schedule data.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional IPT structure.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- US Citizen with ability to obtain a Security Clearance
Desired skills
- Prior experience leading a team of CAMs or cost/schedule performance groups
- Experience as a Control Account Manager (CAM) on a DoD or aerospace program.
- Prior involvement with production, manufacturing, or operations-focused IPTs.
- Prior involvement with the development of proposals and basis of estimates (BOEs)
- Prior earned value management (EVM) experience specifically related to material control accounts or material cost/schedule management.

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
