Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries is looking for a strong technical leader to join our world-class 200mm Advanced Module Engineering team as the Hot Process Module Engineering Manager at GlobalFoundries Fab 9 in Essex, Vermont. This role is responsible for leading teams who own balanced scorecard metrics (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Value, Team) for the Furnace and Rapid Thermal Processing (RTP) toolsets in support of 200mm manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience managing engineering teams in a high-paced manufacturing environment and in developing strategies to meet and improve key performance indicators. A successful candidate in this role must have experience in wafer manufacturing: process engineering, equipment engineering, and process controls. They must be able to drive results in a team environment, partner, and lead across functional teams, and be able to facilitate tactical and strategic priorities.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers and technicians responsible to make data based decisions for optimal output from the Hot Process fleet of tools including quality business processes, continuous improvements and KPIs (Cp/Cpk, Cost, Yield, Development milestones, equipment availability, production output, product delivery).
  • Implementing Operations Excellence - role model measuring and driving continuous improvement, process excellence and standards that produce stable process, outstanding line yield, wafer yield, quality results.
  • Drive results across multiple functional areas including TD, integration, module engineering, Quality, Supply Chain.
  • Crisp communications across the entire Fab 9 team.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements, and programs
  • Lead a team of engineers and technicians supporting 24x7 manufacturing operations and varying (AWS) shift schedules
  • People management responsibilities and work environment inclusive of mutual trust, respect, transparency in communication, teamwork and a passion to achieve results
  • Collaborate with Module Engineering at other fab locations on defining best known methods and practices, and incorporating learning.
  • Avaialble to work beyond standard 5/2 schedule on an ad hoc basis based upon business needs.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
  • Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor

Required Qualifications:

  • Education - bachelor's in engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline
  • Experience - minimum 7 years Manufacturing Operations Engineering discipline: Module Engineering, Characterization, Yield Engineering, Integration, Technology Development
  • People and team leadership experience
  • Fluency in English Language - both written & verbal
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment as required per cleanroom standards
  • Ability to work in work in team environments,

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of management experience
  • Master of Science in Electrical, Chemical, Mechanical or Material Science Engineering
  • Experience in LEAN Manufacturing and Methods
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, energetic and self-motivated

Expected Salary Range

$118,000.00 - $210,000.00
