Job description

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering, other related specialized Engineering area, or the equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience to meet managerial expectations.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Responsibilities for this Position
Duties and Tasks:
• Possess high level of manufacturing technical skills
• Oversees the planning, development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing methods, tools, processes, and operations for new and existing products
• Responsible for managing people, conducting meaningful performance reviews, career development discussions and merit recommendations
• Establishes and ensures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans, and performance requirements
• Works closely with engineering to ensure new products are seamlessly transitioned into production
• Customer interface supporting technical issues
• Responsible for ensuring that all internal quality practices demonstrate compliance to external requirements
• Collaborate across departments-Lines of Business, Supply Chain Management, and Engineering to ensure program objectives are aligned and understood
• Manage all capital requirements in facilities and ensure equipment and machinery meet the required safety, quality, and productivity requirements
• Designs, develops and transfers manufacturing engineering tools, strategies and systems
• May lead other managers and/or supervisors related to a business area, project or strategic activity
• Typically leads a department(s) or large complex project or several smaller projects concurrently to meet business and profitability growth objectives
• Manages group activities to develop and implement long range goals and objectives to meet business and stated profitability growth objectives
• Leads team members and / or senior department staff to develop measurements to monitor performance to established processes and procedures
• Leads teams in resolving business related issues
• Directs, coordinates and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of manufacturing efforts within areas of responsibility
• Ensures process compliance of all manufacturing activity in areas of responsibility
• Contributes to the development of strategies for pricing, program planning, risk management, and margin generation for programs at the proposal stage
• Manages the overall execution of process changes to improve overall efficiency of manufacturing and the effects on current and future work (cost, cycle time, quality)
• Establishes selection criteria for hiring senior members of operations staff and manages hiring process
• Supports proposals within Manufacturing
• Manages and reviews the development of operations schedules and baselines in response to program direction, contract guidance and product lifecycle requirements
• Leads efforts to identify technical risks and develop risk reduction plans
• Regular communications with senior level management
• Travel may be required
• Drives a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization

Combined Salary Range
USD $142,696.00 - USD $158,303.00 /Yr.
