Job description

As a Data Center Account Technical Account Executive focused on the North America Region, you will utilize technical knowledge, understanding of customer issues, and broad industry experience to maximize the value of Cadence solutions and workflows. You will need to rely on your strong relationship building and superior communication skills to connect with business and technology customer stakeholders, identify critical challenges and gain buy-in to drive new business.

Key Qualifications

  • Deep technical knowledge of the data center industry and current market and technical trends
  • Possess a strong technical understanding of thermal, power, and networking requirements for enterprise, colocation, and hyperscale data centers.
  • Knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and the role it plays in optimizing data center design configurations and operations.
  • A deep understanding of the security, integration, and IT deployment requirements to deliver successful data center technology solutions, including DCIM, Data Center Colocation, BMS, EPMS, and other enterprise applications or experience providing sales engineering/solutions consultant services in a colocation environment.
  • Ability to deliver presentations with compelling technical and economic value propositions for engineering and business staff at all levels.
  • A proven track-record of qualifying, understanding, and assessing customers complex technical and business challenges.
  • The ability to drive successful pre-sales campaigns (setting objectives, managing cross-functional teams, and delivering solutions) working with Cadence technical staff (application engineering, program management, R&D) and customers (engineers, managers, IT, leadership).
  • The capacity to foster and grow customer relationships with key stakeholders, influencers, and decision makers at all levels of the customer organization.

Position Requirements:

Experience:
3 years of professional experience in data center Sales Engineer or Solutions Consultant or Solutions Architect role, minimum, more experience is preferred.
Education:
BS Degree in a technical discipline, preferably ME, EE, or Computer Science
MBA is a plus

The annual salary range for California is $248,000 to $372,000. You may also be eligible to receive incentive compensation: bonus, equity, and benefits. Sales positions generally offer a competitive On Target Earnings (OTE) incentive compensation structure. Please note that the salary range is a guideline and compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
