Introduction to the Job:

Join ASML in San Diego as a Manufacturing Quality Engineering Manager and help shape the future of semiconductor manufacturing. Your work will ensure our deep ultraviolet (DUV) systems meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. You will improve parts and processes, strengthen performance, and support customer success across factory.

As a Manufacturing Quality Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of quality professionals and drive cross-functional improvement initiatives. You will use data, structured methods, and clear communication to drive and lead quality initiatives. This role requires key management/leadership skills summarized above, as well as working in a cleanroom environment, wearing protective gear for the entire shift. You will be onsite 100% during working hours. You will be responsible for managing activities of the assigned team, in line with the department & sector strategy, business plans and relevant policies; for people development & performance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the Q&E strategy and business plan for the department and translates into annual operational plan for own group.
  • Drives execution of quality roadmap, integrates quality deliverables within scope.
  • Contributes to the definition of department Quality KPIs in line with sector priorities and strategic roadmaps.
  • Analyses KPI progress and suggests improvements to mitigate risks.
  • Responsible for directly managing quality engineers and quality inspectors.
  • Ensures highly qualified workforce and drives people performance & development.
  • Manage and report on team performance.
  • Creates relevant network of stakeholders of internal and external counterparts.
  • Organizes adequate feedback loop on achieved results and secures feedback.
  • Live the Living Quality & Excellence culture & enable employees to own quality.
  • Manages internal/external customer interactions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to address intricate quality-related issues.
  • Participates in audits, addressing customer concerns, and ensuring adherence to established quality protocols.
  • Works closely with other departments to address customer needs, and plays a role in improving overall customer satisfaction.
  • Lead Quality Review Board, facilitate Quality meetings and deploy Quality Programs.

Education and Experience:

  • Master’s degree in a technical field such as electrical engineering, manufacturing, industrial engineering, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering, or other relevant area with thorough experience or Bachelor degree with deep/extensive experience.
  • Proven performance in one or more of the related areas (Supplier/Manufacturing Quality, Lean, Six Sigma Problem Solving, ISO Auditor, SPC, etc.)
  • Preferably has experience in working in a global technology environment within manufacturing and/or quality engineering.
  • Strong professional with 'hands on' mentality to lead, drive and sustain changes.
  • Proven track record in creating sense of urgency, leading and managing escalations to systematically drive the development and implementation of solutions.
  • Able to functionally influence, inspire and engage SMEs (Subject Matter Experts).
  • Develop and share Quality data, reports, other Quality initiatives presentations.
  • Required minimum of ten years’ experience in related areas of expertise.
  • Experience with leading direct or indirect reports.
  • Experience with leading and facilitating quality meetings. (cross-functional/sectoral)

The current base annual salary range for this role is currently:

$118,875-178,313

Pay scales are determined by role, level, location and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors that that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education and experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate and pay relative to other team members.

The Company offers employees and their families, medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are able to participate in the Company’s 401k plan. Employees will also receive eight (8) hours of vacation leave every month and (13) paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
