Job description

Engineering Manager - Tooling/Mold Repair 

Location: Northern Rhode Island
Schedule: 1st Shift
Compensation: $110,000 - $130,000 plus bonus and benefits

We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead engineering, tooling, and continuous improvement activities within a plastic injection molding manufacturing operation. This position will oversee engineering projects, tooling strategy, new product launches, capital improvements, and technical teams supporting production operations.

Responsibilities:
• Lead Engineering and Tool Room operations
• Manage new product introductions and manufacturing launches
• Oversee tooling, process, quality, and manufacturing improvement projects
• Lead capital equipment and facility improvement projects
• Support tooling strategy, automation initiatives, and process optimization
• Coordinate activities between Engineering, Production, Quality, Sales, customers, and suppliers
• Provide technical leadership for manufacturing and tooling challenges
• Manage engineering and technical personnel including training, development, and performance
• Drive continuous improvement, productivity, and cost reduction initiatives
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and overall execution

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• 10+ years of injection molding and tooling experience
• Experience leading Engineering, Tooling, Manufacturing, or Technical teams
• Strong project management experience including budgets and timelines
• Experience supporting new product introductions and manufacturing launches
• Knowledge of tooling, mold design, manufacturing processes, and automation
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with CAD and 3D modeling software preferred
