The Position

This position is a member of the Manufacturing Engineering Department.  The Manufacturing Engineer will report directly to the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

Job Description           

Primary Responsibilities 

This position is a member of the Manufacturing Engineering Department with tasks that require a motivated individual who has knowledge and experience of manufacturing engineering requirements.  The expectations for this position are that the individual uses their training, education, and experience to support the business through process improvements, cost savings initiatives, and everyday production needs with a limited amount of guidance and direction.  The position requires the individual have experience in the workings of an industrial plant and they have the interpersonal skills to deal with all different types of situations and individuals.  This position requires a person to be able to work in a team environment, be able to multi-task, and handle difficult manufacturing problems.  Individual should be able to perform most of the key performance objectives regularly and with a limited amount of direction.

Job Requirements      

Education 

  • Bachelor or Master’s Degree in an Engineering related field with at least (5) years of experience, or an Associate’s Degree in an Engineering Technology related field with at least (10) years of verifiable experience in a Manufacturing environment, or at least (15) years of verifiable experience in a Manufacturing environment with a HS Diploma or equivalent. 

Skills & Relevant Work Experience Required:

  • Knowledge on tolerances and general manufacturing practices and procedures.
  • Interpersonal skills and experience to deal with all types of situations typical to a manufacturing environment
  • CAD (preferably SolidWorks)
  • Knowledge of machining techniques, lathe, mill, grind, etc
  • Microsoft Office Products knowledge
  • Fluency in English 

Skills & Relevant Work Experience Desired:

  • Knowledge of programming using CAM software or “G and M code”.
  • Knowledge of weld techniques and callouts
  • Tooling Selection and machining techniques
  • GD&T knowledge
  • Program management skills and the ability to handle a significant workload
  • Cost savings and process improvements 

Travel Requirements: up to 5-10%

Salary range is $70,000 - $95,000, depending on experience.
