Job Description
Jet Avion Corporation is located at HEICO's corporate headquarters in Hollywood, Florida and specializes in the supply of various platforms of aircraft and engine PMAs. Our products and capabilities vary from cabin interiors to highly complex power plant and accessory parts.
The Quality Inspector inspects parts, assemblies and finished products to drawings and specifications.
Responsibilities:
  • Read and interpret specifications and engineering drawings to understand requirements.
  • Perform inspection on aerospace products as described in written work instructions.
  • Utilize standard inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, dial indicators, plug gages, etc.
  • Read, understand and inspect supplier certifications and material test reports to determine conformance to requirements.
  • Utilize computer technology systems such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, ERP systems and QMS software such as Tip QA to complete and store applicable inspection records and documentation.
  • Performs a wide variety of mechanical and electro-mechanical inspections on parts and assemblies.
  • Performs complex and critical inspection procedures requiring special set-up of new or unique equipment and interpretation of test data from a variety of sources.
  • May perform document review to ensure material traceability and product compliance
  • Follows general inspection guidelines to conduct visual, dimensional, mechanical, electrical test and functional inspections on a wide variety of components/assemblies.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

Requirements
Education:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Experience:
  • At least 1 year of related experience and/or education.
  • Experience operating or programming CMM equipment a plus.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
  • ASQ -- Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) a plus.

Skills:
  • Ability to use typical layout inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators and an optical comparator
  • Working knowledge (interpretation) of ASME Y14.5 Standard (GD&T) desired
  • Ability to add documents and perform inspection / quality system transactions within the company's quality system software (TIPQA)
  • Continuous improvement mindset and teamwork a must
  • Language: Ability to read/interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
