YOUR NEXT OPPORTUNITY:
The General Manager oversees all aspects of a single facility and its respective P&L, leading teams across production, quality control, maintenance, and planning to ensure efficient operations, meeting production targets, maintain quality standards, and achieve business goals, while also managing all facility financials, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives, essentially responsible for the overall performance of the facility.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
Operational Leadership:
  • Oversee daily manufacturing operations, including production scheduling and forecasting, resource allocation, and workflow optimization.
  • Monitor and manage production metrics like output, efficiency, and scrap rates.
  • Oversee quality control processes to ensure product consistency and compliance with standards.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to implement process improvements and new technologies.
Financial Management:
  • Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, including cost control and expense management.
  • Analyze financial data to identify areas for cost reduction and profit optimization.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement activities.
  • Responsible for managing the facility budgets and P&L statement to ensure goals are met.
  • Be the spokesperson for the respective facility on monthly Cost At Completions (CAC) meetings.
Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate a cross-functional team of supervisors, managers, and production personnel.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving.
  • Provide training and development opportunities for staff.
  • Has a firm grasp of the facility culture pulse and inspires everyone to be their best each day.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and procedures within the manufacturing facility.
  • Investigate and address safety incidents promptly.
  • Promote a strong safety culture among employees.
Strategic Planning:
  • Identify and implement strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to inform production planning.
  • Collaborate with other departments to align manufacturing goals with the overall company strategy.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • Full understanding of manufacturing and program management functions.
  • Experience managing a book of business of $150m or more.
  • Strong understanding of client expectations and implements processes to ensure 100% satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal.
  • Experience with Oracle and Change Management software.

WHAT YOU BRING TO US:
  • Minimum 15 Years applicable manufacturing operations experience, preferably in the modular space.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Construction Management, or equivalent
  • Can be a combination of training, education and relevant work experience.

TRAVEL:
  • Up to 10%

WORKING CONDITIONS:
  • General work environment - sitting for long periods, standing, walking, typing, carrying, pushing, bending. Work is conducted primarily indoors with varying environmental conditions such as fluorescent lighting and air conditioning
  • Noise level is usually low to medium; it can be loud on the jobsite.

  • Occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs.
