Engineering Drawing Checker information
What is the difference between Engineering Drawing Checker vs Draftsman?
| Aspect | Engineering Drawing Checker | Draftsman |
|---|---|---|
| Credentials | Typically requires technical diploma or certification in engineering drawing or CAD | Usually holds a diploma or certificate in drafting or design |
| Work Environment | Works in engineering firms, manufacturing, or construction sites, reviewing technical drawings | Works in design offices, creating and modifying drawings based on specifications |
| Industry Usage | Commonly employed in engineering, manufacturing, and construction industries | Primarily used in architecture, engineering, and design sectors |
The main difference is that an Engineering Drawing Checker reviews and verifies technical drawings for accuracy and compliance, ensuring they meet engineering standards. In contrast, a Draftsman primarily creates and modifies drawings based on project requirements. Both roles require knowledge of CAD and technical drawing standards, but the Checker focuses on quality control, while the Draftsman emphasizes design creation.
