United Contractor Services, LLC is currently seeking to fill the position of Licensed Cold Form Engineer, licensed in the State of Georgia for immediate full-time employment.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • This candidate will serve as the technical structural lead for REVIT Technicians and Structural Designers on a variety of projects, including Industrial and Commercial.
  • Conducts technical planning representing analysis, creating designs, preparing reports, and other tasks.
  • Provides technical guidance on project scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
  • Supports PM providing technical leadership on large complex projects and typically works on multiple major projects.
  • Provides career development mentoring to early-career engineers.
  • Provide creative, economical solutions for challenging framing conditions by utilizing knowledge of products and manufacturing limitations.
  • Assists in client contact, communication, and attends client meetings (AS REQUIRED).
  • Perform quote engineering functions as needed including preliminary design of structural framing, clarification of scope of work, and qualification of proposals.
  • Represent United Contractor Services, LLC as an engineering resource in project meetings with customers, typically for review of design results or to present value-engineering ideas.
  • Perform other engineering duties as needed.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering.
  • Master's degree strongly preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the United States. Structural Engineer (SE) strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret job-related manuals and documents
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit is a plus
  • Experience designing steel and cold form metal framing.
  • Strong knowledge of structural building codes: IBC, AISC 360, AISC 341, AISC 358, ASCE7, AISI, etc.
