Job SummaryThe School of Polymer Science and Engineering (SPSE) at The University of Southern Mississippi invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to begin August 2026. We seek an exceptional scholar whose research and teaching will complement and expand the School's strengths in polymer science and engineering. Candidates with research interests in any contemporary area of polymer science and engineering are encouraged to apply.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Develop and sustain an externally funded, internationallyrecognized research program
  2. Deliver high-impact instruction in undergraduate andgraduate courses in polymer science and engineering, fostering a dynamic andexperiential learning environment.

Minimum QualificationsEarned Ph.D. in polymer science and engineering or a closely related discipline
Demonstrated record of research productivity, as evidenced by peer-reviewed publications, professional presentations, and/or grant submissions.
