Job description

We are seeking talented and energetic Systems Engineer III – DOORS Admin to execute the Ground Based Radar Maintenance and Sustainment Service (GMASS) contract. We sustain, protect, and integrate mission systems to deliver resilient space capabilities as part of an architecture, providing early warning the nation depends on during a conflict. GMASS provides an opportunity to exploit the capabilities inherent in our ground-based radars to better meet the needs of warfighters to detect, track, and defeat missile threats—augmenting Space Domain Awareness, integrating commercial and allied capabilities, and maximizing current combat power through 2030 and beyond. GMASS supports the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of five Upgraded Early Warning Radars (UEWR), and one Perimeter Acquisition Radar Attack Characterization System (PARCS).

The ground-based radars are critical to US and Allied strategic missile warning, missile defense, and space domain awareness missions.

This is a full-time, salaried position and is based out of the customer’s office in Colorado Springs, CO. This is an onsite position with some availability of telecommuting. It is a requirement that the selected candidate must have active Secret Clearance and be a US Citizen.

SEIS participates in the E-Verify program to validate authorization to work in the United States.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Performs Systems Engineering activities related to Information Technology or Engineering including: concept of operations formulation, requirements definition, analysis and engineering, system architecting, system analysis and design, interface and data architectures, validation and verification, systems integration, system op. performance analysis, Lifecycle cost analysis estimation, decision analysis and physical configuration analysis (PCA).
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.
  • Provides specific, detailed information for selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.
  • From an information technology perspective, may be concerned with floor layout, power cooling, data storage, infrastructure management, backup, monitoring, operating systems, directory services, identity management, access management, and automation.
  • Thorough Knowledge of DOORS Architecture and Capabilities
  • Scripting Proficiency (DXL - DOORS eXtension Language)
  • Strong Configuration Management Skills

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and five (5) years or more of related experience; a Masters Degree in a related field and three (3) years or more experience; or PhD and 0 years related experience.
  • Strong Programming Skills Proficiency in languages like C#, XML, JavaScript, Python, SQL, and RESTful APIs.
  • PLM Tools Experience with PLM tools like DOORS, Windchill, ARAS.
  • Database Management Solid understanding of database concepts and experience with SQL databases.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must have active Secret Clearance.
